The Buffalo Bills are entering yet another season as legitimate Super Bowl contenders, and that's not by any stretch. This team is ready to win right now behind Josh Allen, and they have their eyes set on yet another division title, first and foremost.

Speaking of a division title, even former Bills cornerback Rasul Doublas knows Buffalo is the team you have to beat in the AFC East. Now with the Miami Dolphins as of this week, Douglas was asked by a Miami beat reporter about the division and the Bills, specifically.

"Just got to find a way to beat them. That's kind of 'the team' in the division. Everybody in this division knows that you got to go through them to win it," he told David Furones of the Sun Sentinel.

Rasul Douglas can't hide his true feelings about the Bills, and he's not wrong

Whether or not these are his feelings, or he's just stating a fact, Douglas is obviously correct. The Bills own the AFC East and that's not going to change anytime soon. The Dolphins might end up boasting an exciting offense, depending on the health of Tua Tagovailoa, but the real question has been on the defensive side of the ball.

Miami's defense has had a hard time stopping Josh Allen and company over the years. In Allen's career, is 12-2 against Miami and that includes his very first career contest against the Dolphins coming as a loss. So, since that first loss, Allen is 12-1 against Miami.

Now, they're hoping after a wild offseason which saw their secondary get a massive facelift, that Douglas is enough to help that room take a step forward. It'll be difficult without Jalen Ramsey and Jevon Holland, plus the loss of Kader Kohou for the year.

The lack of talent was precisely why the Dolphins brought in the former Bills corner. Whether or not Douglas is going to be enough to move the needle, though, remains unseen. He's a talented player, but he'll need to revert to his 2021 form if the Dolphins have even the slightest hope at stopping the Bills.
