We are just hours away from the Las Vegas Raiders being on the clock, where they are expected to take QB Fernando Mendoza out of Indiana to kick off the 2026 NFL Draft. After that, nothing can be ruled out on what could happen.

While the New York Jets are expected to take one of the two pass rushers in David Bailey or Arvell Reese, there are still debates going on about who they will take. Either way, Mendoza is the only pretty-much guaranteed pick, and that’s why this draft will be extremely interesting to watch.

One major thought that is going through the minds of Bills fans is trying to figure out what Brandon Beane will do with the 26th overall pick. Will a pick be made tonight for Buffalo? Or will they decide to trade down or even out of the first round? Just two years ago in 2024, they traded down and then eventually traded out of the first round before selecting Keon Coleman. Anything is possible.

For any fans that may be nervous on what the Bills may do tonight, NFL Analyst Daniel Jeremiah released a mock draft yesterday that should have any sort of nerves you may have become more relaxed.

Daniel Jeremiah's mock draft should have Bills fans feeling good

In Jeremiah’s mock draft on NFL.com, the Bills make the move to trade out of the first round and send the 26th pick to the Arizona Cardinals, who draft Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson.

"If the Cardinals want to move up from No. 34 for Simpson, I think they’ll find some very willing trade partners late in Round 1. With no second-round pick right now (traded it in the DJ Moore deal), Buffalo could be motivated to get something done for extra draft capital. Arizona makes a move for its QB of the future after bolstering the offensive line earlier in Round 1." said Jeremiah.

With the Cardinals having a major need at quarterback, the Bills could very well benefit from it and gain not only extra draft picks in this year’s draft, but maybe there is a chance where Arizona would be willing to send an early 2027 draft pick to Buffalo. If that happens, fans should be feeling great about that kind of deal.

Don’t get me wrong, the Bills have needs to fill. However, moving out of the first round to gain extra draft capital this year early on, maybe a pick on Day 3 or even a pick for next year is not the worst idea in the world. If the Bills trade back with Arizona, they would be getting the 34th pick which would be the second pick in the second round. They could still get a solid prospect with that pick.
