The Buffalo Bills are going to be closely watching this upcoming offseason. After their playoff loss in the conference championship, Bills fans should be observing what Brandon Beane does this offseason to upgrade the roster. Josh Allen is right in the middle of his prime and there is coaching continuity with Joe Brady returning.
The offensive line was the best that it’s ever been in the Josh Allen-era. In addition, the Bills are hopeful to have a future franchise pass rusher in Greg Rousseau. As for the rest of the roster, it never hurts to upgrade.
Even though the Bills had a very successful season, they fell apart in their biggest game of the year against the Chiefs. Kansas City only scored 30 points twice this season. Once was against the Buccaneers that required the Chiefs to win it in overtime, and the other against the horrendous Carolina Panthers, with the Chiefs only winning by three.
However, we can’t discredit their success because they had a better regular season and eliminated the Bills when it mattered the most.
Colin Cowherd says quiet part outloud about what Bills need to do in offseason
One sports talkshow host has given a lot of praise to the Bills this season, and even went as far as saying that the Bills would finally push through and overcome the Chiefs. Colin Cowherd from “The Herd” spoke about what happened in the Super Bowl and how the Eagles completely dominated the Chiefs. He mentioned how we have now seen it twice of if a team can push around Patrick Mahomes and his offensive line, the Chiefs don’t stand a chance.
Cowherd basically said that the Bills need to find a way to improve their defense and draft better than they have. He is spot on, despite how Bills fans may feel about it.
"Buffalo, Baltimore — draft better. Cincinnati, spend more money... To be the champs, you've got to physically beat the champs. That's what Philly did."

For as much as Bills fans want Buffalo to trade for a star pass rusher like Myles Garrett from Cleveland, it’s important for Brandon Beane to make the right draft picks and go find an edge rusher who can be an every down disrupter.
The Bills have had their hearts broken by the Chiefs too many times in recent memory. Enough is enough. It’s time for Brandon Beane to take a different route than what the Bills have done in prior years. If the Bills don’t make a big splash in free agency, the draft, or via trade, we can only make the best guess that Buffalo will once again fall short next season.
