Wild card weekend is set to take place this weekend and the Buffalo Bills will stay on the east coast and travel down to Duval County for a matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Buffalo enters the playoffs as the 6-seed in the AFC, but that really doesn’t matter. At the end of the day, the Bills are a team that no one should want to play.

The Bills and Jaguars last met in the playoffs back in 2018 where Jacksonville got a boring 10-3 win, so you could say that Buffalo is looking for some type of revenge. However, Buffalo and Jacksonville last saw each in Week 3 last season where Buffalo absolutely destroyed them, winning 47-10.

However, both teams are different than when they last met and Buffalo will for sure be tested on the road. Heading into this matchup, the Bills will see 3 former players that used to be members of the Bills organization and are now with the Jaguars.

Former Bills who will face Buffalo in Wild Card round

TE Quintin Morris

After spending three seasons in Buffalo from 2022-2024, tight end Quintin Morris joined the Jacksonville Jaguars this past offseason but hasn’t been a huge contributor for the offense. He currently has just 5 catches for 50 yards. In three seasons with the Bills, Morris had 15 catches for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns.

DE Dawuane Smoot

Dawuane Smoot was with the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2017-2023 before joining the Buffalo Bills in the summer of last year. In his only year with Buffalo, Smoot had 16 total tackles to go with 1.5 sacks. Coming back to Jacksonville, he’s had a very similar stat line from last season with just 1 sack to go with 18 total tackles.

DT Austin Johnson

Just like Smoot, the Bills signed defensive tackle Austin Johnson before last season, and he was a sneaky underrated player for Buffalo’s defense. He had 19 total tackles to go with two interceptions. He signed with Jacksonville just before the season started, and he has just 10 total tackles to go with a sack.
