It has been an exciting week for the Buffalo Bills. They broke their two-game losing streak on Monday night by defeating the New York Jets 23-20 in a must-win game. Then less than 24 hours later, Brandon Beane pulled off a massive trade by acquiring wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns.

In addition, the Bills are finally returning home (for just one week before going on the road again in Week 8) to host the struggling Tennessee Titans. Buffalo and Tennessee are very familiar with each other, but this matchup will look a little different than years prior. For starters, Derrick Henry is no longer in the backfield for the Titans. Then there is head coach Brian Callahan who replaced Mike Vrabel this past offseason.

The Titans have a new identity, but they aren’t clicking this season just yet which has led them to a 1-4 record. Tennessee has a solid defense, but their offense is what is holding them back. Second year quarterback Will Levis has made more meme ideas this season than he has great plays.

Even though the Titans have only won just one game this year, they are still a physical team who is not afraid to run the ball, which makes this a trap game for the Bills.

Coming off a great week, the Buffalo Bills are facing a major trap game vs. Titans’ rushing attack

The Titans have ran the ball effectively through five games. Aside from only rushing for 33 yards in Week 3, Tennessee has rushed for 130+ yards in every other game. One of the reasons why they are so effective is because of Tony Pollard, who left the Dallas Cowboys to join the Titans this past offseason.

Pollard has rushed for 339 yards on the season, and Tyjae Spears has been a decent complimentary back with 114 yards on the ground. Due to the fact that the Titans have a tough time passing the ball, they have to rely on the rushing attack and the Bills have struggled against the run all season long.

Buffalo is giving up 140 yards per ground on the game this year which is abysmal. With or without Ed Oliver, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, this defense is being exposed.

Coming in at 4-2, fresh off of a division win and acquiring q top quality veteran receiver, the Bills are entering trap game territory due to the fact that the Titans are an effective rushing team. Bobby Babich and Sean McDermott have to gameplan to stop the Titans’ rushing attack in order to keep any kind of momentum away from them.
