It’s officially the first day of Buffalo Bills training camp and we could not be more thrilled! The start of the 2025 NFL season is almost here and before you know it, the Bills will be running out onto the field for a Week 1 battle against the Baltimore Ravens. The Bills are set to have training camp at St. John Fisher University (like always) and this year will feel a little bit different.
The Bills will be featured on Hard Knocks so fans will be able to see behind the scenes at training camp and will have ten training camp practices. Here are the dates and times for each practice for the Bills at St. John Fisher University:

Return of the Blue & Red
On Friday, August 1st at Highmark Stadium, the Bills will be returning back to Orchard Park for the annual Blue and Red practice where they will be in the stadium and fans will get the opportunity to see them practice in a gameday atmosphere. This is where Josh Allen usually comes out of the tunnel with a helmet design that gets the fans hyped up throughout the entire practice. That will begin at 5:30PM.
Preseason schedule
The Bills’ first and only home preseason game will take place on Saturday, August 9th where they will welcome Brian Daboll and the New York Giants. Daboll was the Bills offensive coordinator from 2018-2021 before becoming the head coach of the Giants. This game could feature the first one where rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart takes the field and will see some live action against a team that isn’t his own.
The Bills will then be on the road for the final two preseason games against the Chicago Bears (August 17th) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (August 23rd).
Storylines to follow during training camp
1.) Will Keon Coleman take the next step forward in Year 2?
After a solid rookie season but then having to deal with a wrist injury, Keon Coleman is set to have a bounce back sophomore year with Allen throwing him the ball. Early on in OTAs, Coleman impressed coaches and they took note that he was putting in the work this offseason. He will be someone to watch closely leading up to the start of the season.
2.) How will a newly revamped defense perform early on?
Brandon Beane and the front office went all in on defense this offseason. In both free agency and the draft, the Bills brought in a lot of defensive help for the short-term and long-term future. Most notable, the defensive line and secondary could look a lot different than it did last season. Can Joey Bosa become the difference maker that the Bills were missing? How will Maxwell Hairston perform as the hopeful CB2 opposite of Christian Benford?
The defense could be the make-or-break factor for the Bills in 2025 so they will be watched from start to finish.
3.) The James Cook contract situation
Maybe this won’t be as big of a deal as it was throughout the offseason, but it made a lot of noise since the end of last season. James Cook is entering the final year of his rookie contract and he is seeking atleast $15 million per year. Every other notable player from his draft class (Khalil Shakirs, Terrel Bernard, Christian Benford) got paid. Will he finally get his payday or will he continue to wait?
4.) Can TE Dalton Kincaid step it up in a crucial year?
Tight end Dalton Kincaid is going into the third year of his rookie contract and it will determine whether or not the Bills pick up his fifth-year option as a former first-round pick. He dealt with a knee injury last season and declined in production. However, knowing what’s on the line for him, he should be looking to become Allen’s best friend on the field and finally live up to the draft status that he had back in 2023.
Bills Mafia, we finally have some Bills football happening and we couldn’t be more excited. Next thing you know, Week 1 will be here and the 2025 season will officially kick off.
