When we look back at the Buffalo Bills’ 2026 draft class, there are various players that could make the argument as to why they would be the most impactful pick for the team. You have players like edge rusher T.J. Parker, linebacker Kalen Elarms-Orr, or even a high-ceiling safety in Jalon Kilgore.
However, one player that the Bills picked that fans jumping up and down in excitement is wide receiver Skyler Bell. The Bills managed to acquire Bell with the 125th pick in the 4th round, giving Josh Allen another weapon to throw to.
We all know that wide receiver has been a hot topic surrounding the Bills the last few seasons, and now adding a player like Bell to pair with guys like D.J. Moore and Khalil Shakir will give the Bills more to work with in the passing game.
Skyler Bell seemed to be a big priority for Bills to draft
Beane is not known for draft receivers early on in the draft for Buffalo. In fact, he still has to draft a wide receiver in the first round as the general manager of the Bills. However, that doesn’t mean that Beane and the Bills weren’t excited to get Bell because after the draft, he told the media that Bell “was a player they circled before the draft started” per Matthew Bove.
“We really like Bell. A lot.”

It was no secret that the Bills needed to draft a wide receiver in this draft. Trading for Moore last month was a great start to revamp the room, but more needed to be done. Even though adding Bell doesn’t solve all of their problems, he takes care of an immediate issue and he also becomes a potential long-term receiver for Josh Allen.
Bell is a versatile receiver and Joe Brady will be able to line him up anywhere on the line, creating more ways to open up the playbook for the passing game. He is coming off a breakout season at UConn with 1,278 yards and 13 touchdowns. Now he will be in Orchard Park catching passes from the best quarterback in the game.
After making some draft selections that Bills fans found confusing, the selection of Bell turned things around for the better and now we know just how much the Bills were looking forward to bringing in Bell to the team. Bills fans will soon see what kind of impact Bell will bring to the offense.
