No organization in the NFL is perfect, not even the most successful ones. Every organization has some flaws and fans are able to pinpoint those flaws. Then there are teams that just seem like they can’t do anything right, like the New York Jets. The Buffalo Bills should be thankful that while they clearly have some weaknesses, they aren’t anywhere near where the Jets are.

In Aaron Glenn’s first year as the Jets head coach, it was a complete mess and now they are going to be a new look team coaching-wise, other than at head coach. New York hired Brian Duker as their next defensive coordinator. Then they hired former NFL OC/HC and former Bills’ quarterback Frank Reich as their offensive coordinator.

The hiring of Reich is more impactful than the one of Duker simply because Glenn is the one that will be calling the plays on defense. Reich will now be in charge of the offense and try to provide any kind of spark.

Both the Bills and Jets have new coaching staffs, but Buffalo has a lot more stability and has had more success by a mile. Even though the Jets have their coaching staff solidified, Conor Orr from Sports Illustrated made a bold prediction about the Jets that Bills fans can only laugh so hard that they fall to the floor.

Bold Jets prediction would yet another embarrassing element to franchise

Orr’s bold prediction for the Jets for this offseason is that one of the coordinators will “step away before the start of the season.”

"While reports have potentially exaggerated the breadth of hiring malpractice exhibited by the Jets this offseason, this is not a résumé-building position for anyone—and the clearer that becomes, the more likely it is that 2026 feels like a good year to spend more time with family instead ofspending more time trying not to get shoved under a steamroller." said Orr.

This would be the ultimate comedy show if the Jets, who struggled to put together their coaching staff, lost one of their coordinators before kickoff in September. The Jets have become a laughingstock of the NFL and going into the second year of the Aaron Glenn era, no one expects the Jets to do anything.

They are clearly in a once-again rebuild with multiple first-round draft picks and having no current plan at quarterback. With Dante Moore going back to Oregon, they lost out on the chance to develop a ready-now QB prospect, so now Darren Mougey will have to get creative.

Bills fans should be extremely grateful that while One Bills Drive definitely has its problems, it’s nothing like what the Jets are dealing with. If the Jets were to lose one of their coordinators and it was by the choice of the coordinator, it would just add more humor than there already is about the Jets.
