Week 5 wraps up tonight out on the west coast as the Buffalo Bills are heading into SoFi Stadium for an out-of-conference clash with the Los Angeles Rams. The Bills are coming off a disappointing Week 4 loss against the New England Patriots, and now will turn their attention towards the Rams to get back on track.

This is the first of a two-game stretch out on the West Coast for the Bills. After tonight, they will have to start immediately preparing for the Las Vegas Raiders. The Rams might be 2-2, but they are no pushover. Buffalo is looking to get back in the win column, and there's no better way to do it than in front of the entire world on primetime.

With kickoff taking place tonight, here is everything you have to know for this primetime matchup, per the Buffalo Bills' PR X account, along with injury updates and the top storylines.

Saturday's final injury report for the Bills was lengthy, but a majority are ready to play tonight. However, two players in Ed Oliver and Joshua Palmer have already been ruled out. Three players (DJ Moore, Landon Jackson, Dee Alford) are questionable going into tonight. Moore and Alford only practiced once and it was in a limited fashion.

As for Jackson, he practiced the entire week with being limited once and then practicing in a full capacity.

When it comes to the Rams' final injury report, they have just one player entering primetime with a questionable status, despite having 12 players on the injury report last week.

Rams

Quentin Lake (hip)

Questionable

Lake is the only unknown right now for the Rams. The rest are ready to go, including DT Aaron Donald who is returning from a back injury that kept him out in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Top storylines for Bills vs. Rams in Week 5

Can Bills' defense correct its mistakes from Week 4?

It was an absolute mess for Buffalo’s defense last week against the Patriots. They let Drake Maye play like an MVP candidate when he had looked like arguably the worst quarterback in his first three games. They didn’t just bend, they broke against New England.

This unit is giving up 372.3 yards per game this season and with the Rams’ offense averaging 417 total yards, it could get out of hand very easily if the Bills don’t come out strong. If Buffalo's defense comes out flat and the Rams drive up and down the field on them early on, the Bills are in for a very rough night in front of the world.

Will James Cook get more volume on the ground?

After a bit of a quiet Week 1 against the Houston Texans, James Cook went off in Weeks 2 & 3 with rushing for 135+ yards in each game. Then he was brought back down to Earth against the Patriots with just 75 yards off of 12 carries. The Rams are allowing 102 yards on the ground per game, so they aren't anything super special, but they aren't one of the worst either.

Joe Brady should be looking to establish the run early on and set the tone. If Cook gets going and can get things started, it's only going to open up the playbook for the better.

The debut of rookie WR Skyler Bell

With Joshua Palmer being ruled out for this game, rookie wideout Skyler Bell will officially make his NFL debut. Brady announced this on Saturday and now Bills Mafia will finally get to see what he can bring to this offense.

Bell has great versatility so it will be fun and interesting to see how he is utilized under the bright lights against a tough Rams defense.

Final Prediction

Bills def. Rams, 34-31

The Bills are looking for a bounce back win and there is no better way to get one than on the road in front of a national audience. This is definitely a potential Super Bowl preview between these two teams, and even though the Rams are going to bring everything they got, the Bills in the end have the greatness of Josh Allen. I'm trusting him over any other factor.
