We are nearing the end of the regular season and this is where we will start to learn the playoff seedings very soon, as well as the top order of the 2025 NFL Draft. When it comes to the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots, who are set to face off this Sunday, both teams are in different directions.

The Bills are looking to continue their pursuit of the No. 1 seed in the AFC and they need to win in Week 16 against the Patriots. Meanwhile, New England would currently be in the top-five of the NFL Draft order for next year but fans shouldn’t think that they won’t try to play spoiler.

The Patriots have a lot more to lose in this game than the Bills believe it or not. Sure, if the Bills somehow lost this game, they would kiss their chances at being the top AFC team goodbye. However, the Bills will more than likely already be the No. 2 seed whether they win or lose this game.

For the Patriots, if they lose, they keep their top-five draft pick for another week. However, if they can pull the upset in Buffalo, they could go down the draft order and potentially lose out on a player like Travis Hunter. Nonetheless, fans can expect both teams to do whatever they can to win this game despite what the possibilities are in the future.

Predicting the final score for Bills vs. Patriots

Since 2020, the Bills have swept the Patriots twice. New England has been a mess the last couple of years and still are one this season. At the same time, it seems like they have their quarterback of the future in Drake Maye who has been very impressive despite the talent he has around him.

The typical Patriots defense we all know isn’t what it used to be in prior years. They are more vulnerable and their pass-rush is close to non-existent. Now they have the unfortunate pleasure of going up against Josh Allen and the powerful Buffalo offense who hasn’t allowed to be sacked once or turned the ball over at all in their last three games.

Unless a huge miracle happens in favor of New England, Buffalo will be able to handle the Patriots without any issue and continue their dominance of the AFC East.

Score Prediction: Bills def. Patriots 38-14
