For the first time since Week 13, the Buffalo Bills are back in Orchard Park and are set to take on the New England Patriots for the first time this season. Both teams are at completely different stages at this point in the season. The Bills already have the AFC East locked up and the Patriots are under a lot of pressure to have some sort of success these next three games.
The Bills have been part of two games that are candidates for “Game of the Year”, where they went 1-1, scoring and letting up 40+ points. The Patriots are on a four-game losing streak and haven’t won since November 10th.
With Buffalo still in the race for the No. 1 seed in the AFC, they cannot afford to lose but at the same time, they have to be careful health wise to not risk losing any impactful players. New England will be looking to play spoiler and what better way to do it than in a division rival’s house.

Bills vs. Patriots mini-history
Buffalo and New England have faced off 127 times in history and because of the Patriots have the combo of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, the Patriots have a wide margin lead on the Bills in head-to-head games. The Patriots lead the series, 78-50-1. Even though the Bills are clearly the better team, they still have a long way to go make the series look somewhat even.
At one point in history, the Bills lost 15-straight games to the Patriots from 2003 to 2010. In ten of those games, the Bills scored ten points or less. New England was the big brother and it seemed like it was always a guarantee that they would beat Buffalo. Now the roles are starting to turn slowly.
Ever since 2020, when Tom Brady left the Patriots, the Bills gone on to win seven games (including in the playoffs) against the Patriots, with New England only winning two matchups. The best win in those matchups for the Bills took place in the AFC wild card round in 2022 when Buffalo completely dominated the Patriots in a 47-17 win. Josh Allen had more touchdowns than he did incompletions that game.
It’s a new era in New England, who have Jerod Mayo in charge of the coaching staff and Drake Maye leading the offense. The Patriots may have found their quarterback of the future, but as long as the Bills have Josh Allen, New England doesn’t stand a chance to overtake Buffalo.
