Bills vs. Lions: Announcers, TV Channel, history to know for Week 15
By Brandon Ray
We’ve got the game of the week today live from Detroit, MI between the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions. Two of the highest-scoring offenses battling it out at 4:25PM EST from Ford Field in what should be a electric matchup.
The Lions haven’t felt defeat since Week 2 when they lost to Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While their offense has been electric, their defense has taken a bit of a hit with injuries, including star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson. However, their secondary that has safeties Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch is no joke.
On the other sideline, the Bills are coming off a thrilling 44-42 loss last Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. Josh Allen has been playing lights out and is getting closer to securing his first MVP award of his career. At the same time, we all know that Allen isn’t about individual awards, he’s only focused on one goal and that is delivering Buffalo’s first Super Bowl.

Bills vs. Lions mini-history
Buffalo and Detroit have faced off 12 times in history and the Bills currently lead the series 7-4-1, per Pro Football Reference. The first time they faced off against each other, it ended in a 21-21 tied back in 1972.
In this century alone, the Lions have only beaten the Bills once back in 2006 where they won 20-17. Infact, prior to that game, the Lions’ last victory over the Bills was back in 1994 where quarterback David Krieg threw for 351 yards, 3 touchdowns and completing 80% of his passes in a 35-21 win for the Lions.
The Bills have won the last four matchups against the Lions, but by no more than 3 points in each game. These teams last faced off two years ago on Thanksgiving where Josh Allen led a comeback drive to give Tyler Bass the chance at a game-winning field goal for the Bills.
Both teams have become powerhouses within the NFL and this game should be a fun one to watch, whether you are a fan of one or the other, or just an NFL fan in general. Bills fans, it’s time to bounce back from last week and watch the Bills make a statement by taking down Detroit. As we say, “Let’s Go Buffalo!”
