We have the final inactives for both the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets. Both teams were facing various injuries throughout this week and now we know who will be suiting up and who will be on the sideline.
The Bills have been hit hard with injuries on the defense the last couple of weeks. For the last two games, they haven’t had their entire starting backend of their secondary in Taylor Rapp and Damar Hamlin, and they also didn’t have Rasul Douglas or Matt Milano last week. Milano and Douglas are ready to go today as they didn’t have an injury designation on the Friday injury report.
Up until the final inactives were released, only four Bills players (Damar Hamlin, Taylor Rapp, Cam Lewis, and Curtis Samuel) were listed as questionable. It was announced that the Bills elevated wideout Tyrell Shavers and safety Lewis Cine from the practice squad for today’s game.
Bills vs. Jets inactives for Week 17
Bills inactives:
-WR Curtis Samuel
-OL Tylan Grable
-DT Austin Johnson
-CB Kaiir Elam
-S Damar Hamlin
-S Lewis Cine
-LB Nicholas Morrow
Tyrell Shavers will be suiting up while Lewis Cine is ruled as inactive. With Curtis Samuel missing today’s game, it makes sense to have Shavers activated. On the plus-side, the Bills will be getting back Taylor Rapp, who has missed the last two games and he will more than likely be going with either Cam Lewis or Cole Bishop in the secondary.
The Bills are also going with five linebackers in this game. You have your typical starters in Terrel Bernard, Matt Milano and Dorian Williams. In addition, Joe Andreessen and Edefuan Ulofoshio will be on the sidelines ready to go as well.
Jets inactives:
-CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse
-DE Braiden McGregor
-K Anders Carlson
-S Jaylin Simpson
-CB Kendall Sheffield
-CB Qwan'tez Stiggers
After being on the injury report this past week for the Jets, cornerback Sauce Gardner and wideout Davante Adams will indeed play against the Bills today. Gardner was battling a hamstring injury while Adams was dealing with a hip injury but both of them are ready to go.
Kickoff from Orchard Park will be at 1PM EST on CBS as the Bills look to lock up the No. 2 seed in the AFC and complete their season sweep of the Jets.
