It’s Week 17 of the NFL season and the Buffalo Bills are prepared to play their final regular season home game of the year. However, Bills will be able to see them in the playoffs in the wild card round live from Orchard Park. After taking down the New England Patriots last week, the Bills will host Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.
Buffalo defeated the Jets 23-20 in Week 6 on Monday Night Football to get back into the win column after dropping their previous two games. The Bills have yet to lose within the AFC East this year so they will be looking to get closer to a sweep of the division. The most important factor that the Bills need to go right is for everyone to stay healthy.
They have had too many injuries and it’s almost cost them games this year. Sean McDermott may want to strongly consider benching the starters at some point rather than risk an necessary injury to a big-time player.

Mini-History between division rivals
The Bills lead the Jets in the all-time series, 70-58 per Pro Football Reference. The Bills ave won their last two matchups against the Jets, including back in Week 6 of this season. The Jets have not beaten the Bills in December, or later since 2019, and the starters for the Bills were pulled in that game but Buffalo only lost 13-6.
In the month of December, the Bills and Jets have faced off against each other 21 times and the Bills have won 13 of those games, including in the playoffs back in 1981 when the Bills defeated the Jets 31-27.
The Bills will look to add another December win against the Jets today. We are two weeks away from the start of the playoffs. While Buffalo has been winning, their defense has been a liability the last few weeks. In addition, the Bills have to make sure that Josh Allen doesn’t injure himself again like he did last week against the Patriots.
