Tomorrow night, the Buffalo Bills will take the field as the visiting team against the Atlanta Falcons for a Monday night primetime matchup. The Bills and Falcons haven’t faced off against each other since 2022, with the Bills getting a 29-15 victory in Orchard Park in the snow.
Coming in at 4-1, this is just the Bills’ second road game of the season. Their first one was in Week 2 against the New York Jets where Buffalo won in a dominating fashion, only allowing the Jets to score 10 points and limiting them to 154 total yards. Can they have a similar outcome against the Falcons?
Sure, anything is possible. However, the Falcons have a more talented offense with a Top 3 running back in Bijan Robinson. Not to mention, they have great weapons such as Drake London and Kyle Pitts. Second-year quarterback Michael Penix has been up-and-down through their first four games, but don’t think he can’t do any damage.
Buffalo has to play complimentary football and make Penix beat them, rather than give Atlanta the chance to run the ball with Robinson. The Bills’ run defense is one of the worst units so if Robinson gets going and controls the game, it’s going to be another long night for the Bills.
As for the offense, Josh Allen and company have to play better overall. It’s as simple as that. They looked bad against the Patriots and the Falcons’ defense will be looking to embarrass Allen and the offense.
Can Buffalo leave Atlanta with a road win?
The Bills have won their last two meetings against the Falcons and after getting embarrassed at home on primetime last week, they have no choice but to bounce back in order to stay on the path to have the AFC run through them.
Atlanta may give the Bills some trouble in their rushing attack, but if Buffalo can slow it down and make the Falcons win by passing it, then they have a better chance to come out of this game with a win.
