The divisional round of the NFL playoffs will kick off later today as the Buffalo Bills will go into Denver and take down the 1-seeded Broncos.

Buffalo earned the right to play today after they took down the Jacksonville Jaguars last weekend. Quite frankly, Jacksonville was not a great matchup for Buffalo but yet the Bills still got the job done.

Even though Denver is the top seed in the AFC, they don’t feel like a true No. 1 team as a lot of their wins were by one score. While the Broncos do have a solid defense, the offense has slowly declined as the season went on. However, Buffalo still has to do whatever it takes to leave Denver with a ticket to the AFC Championship game.

As fans of both teams get ready for this showdown in Denver, here is some important info for fans to be aware of, per the Buffalo Bills' PR team.

Mini-history for Bills vs. Broncos

The Bills lead the Broncos in their all-time series against each other, 24-17-1 which includes two wins in the playoffs, per Pro Football Reference. These two teams faced off in the Wild Card round last year where the Broncos took an early 7-0 lead, and then let up 31 unanswered points to lose 31-7. It’s hard to imagine that it will happen again, but it is the NFL and anything is possible.

Buffalo’s first playoff win against Denver took place in 1992, winning 10-7 in a big time defensive battle. Overall, Buffalo has been the better team than Denver, winning six of their last eight matchups.

Kickoff from Denver is set for 4:30PM EST and the winner of this game will advance to the AFC Championship game, and will face the winner between the Patriots and Texans. Bills Mafia, it’s go time.
