Super Bowl Sunday is here and we are very close to kickoff live from New Orleans. For the second time in three years, fans will be watching the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles take the field. The Chiefs defeated the Eagles two years ago 38-35 in which the referees made a very questionable defensive holding call on the Eagles that basically gifted the Chiefs the Super Bowl.
Buffalo Bills fans were hoping that Josh Allen and company would be the runs representing the AFC. Instead, they now have the unfortunate pleasure of potentially seeing the Chiefs make history as they aim to go for a three-peat.
The Chiefs defeated the Bills in the AFC championship game 32-29, and it left a very sour taste for Bills Mafia. However, fans had the chance to celebrate this past week at the NFL Honors when Josh Allen rightfully so was voted as the league’s MVP. In a close race with Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson, Allen was looked at as the best overall player in the league.
Allen had the chance to celebrate receiving the MVP award with his star left tackle, Dion Dawkins. The blindside protector for Allen has had his back since Allen was drafted and the two have a unbreakable bond. Dawkins has become a big character in the NFL and is solidifying himself as a league-favorite with his personality.
He has his infamous “you already schnow” saying, as well as advocating for a “Lineman of the Year” award before he leaves the league, per Alex Brasky. Dawkins is a big fan-favorite in Buffalo and now he is starting to catch the attention of the rest of the NFL.
Dion Dawkins makes unique prediction for Super Bowl LIX winner
On NFL Gameday Live, Kyle Brandt and Gerald McCoy caught up with Dawkins and asked about his Super Bowl winner prediction in which Dawkins noted that the “Eagles offensive line will win the Super Bowl for the rest of the guys”.
It’s no surprise to see Dawkins picking against the Chiefs, seeing as how they have knocked Buffalo out of the playoffs four of the last five years. With the way the Eagles’ offensive line has performed this year, which includes helping Saquon Barkley reach over 2,000 rushing yards, they are a huge x-factor for this game.
Dawkins gave love to the Chiefs, specifically Patrick Mahomes and Chris Jones, but ultimately believes that the Eagles are leaving New Orleans with the Lombardi trophy. If the Bills have to watch the Chiefs win their third consecutive Super Bowl, it’s going to be a long offseason for them.
