One thing is for sure…this matchup between the Bills and Ravens was way different than their regular season game. As soon as the Bills didn’t give up an 87-yard touchdown run, it was already a better game for them.
It was a little bit of a scary moment when the Ravens drove it down on their first drive for a touchdown. However, the Bills responded and it was their show in the first half taking a 21-10 lead. Josh Allen made history (of course) by tying Tom Brady for the second most postseason rushing touchdowns by a quarterback (7).
In the second half, it was a bit of a different story. The Ravens made adjustments to get back into the game while the Bills just slid by, but barely. Baltimore outscored Buffalo in the second half, but the Bills stood their ground just enough to send the Ravens home packing and into the offseason, beating them 27-25. Buffalo is on their way to Kansas City for a shot to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl down in New Orleans.
Buffalo continues to setup their cinderella story
This was definitely one of Buffalo’s toughest games of the season. The Bills do not match up well against the Ravens, but they managed to show the NFL just how Bills football is played. They got physical when they needed to be and they made some early turnovers that ultimately cost the Ravens points early on, forcing them to play from behind most of the game. However, Bills fans should be thankful that Mark Andrews dropped a pass, fumbled one, and dropped the potential game-tying two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter.
The Bills’ tough playoff journey continues as they now have taken down one of the top defensive units in the Denver Broncos, and now the Ravens who demolished them in the regular season, 35-10. The Bills now get a chance to take on the Chiefs again, who they already beat this past season and gave them their first loss. The last time the Bills and the Chiefs were in the AFC championship game, the Chiefs took care of business with no problem, winning 38-24.
Bills Mafia, we’ve got atleast one more week of football. It’s another Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes showdown next Sunday night at 6:30PM EST in Kansas City.
