The Buffalo Bills are in a bit of a precarious situation entering the 2026 NFL Draft. They have glaring needs on both sides of the ball, but with limited selections, they have no clear way to address all of them.
That makes Brandon Beane's selection at No. 26 overall a mystery. He could take a receiver, a defensive lineman, a cornerback, or even a linebacker, and nobody would be surprised.
But there have been a few clues for fans to follow. Where there's smoke, there's fire. And there's certainly some smoke surrounding Buffalo's connection to these three prospects.
Who will the Bills draft at No. 26?
Clemson CB Avieon Terrell: Flicker
Of the weakest positions on the roster, cornerback may be the least likely target in the first round. The Bills drafted Maxwell Hairston early a year ago and are expected to go in a different direction. But don't close the door on Clemson's Avieon Terrell as the pick for Buffalo. Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright made the connection in his mock draft, saying, "The Bills have been trying to get corner correct in the draft for a couple of years."
Terrell offers positional versatility and has the coverage instincts and tackling ability that many of the Bills' other defensive backs lack. He would be a solid choice at the end of the first round.
Ohio State DT Kayden McDonald: Heating up
Instead, the Bills could look to address their abysmal run defense early. If they do, Kayden McDonald is an obvious selection. The Ohio State defensive tackle is arguably the best run stopper in the class, and he should be available when Buffalo is on the clock.
Peter Schrager, one of the most plugged-in analysts in NFL media, paired McDonald with the Bills in his initial mock draft. He said, "This might be the highest you'll see McDonald going in a mock draft at the moment, but I'm hearing significant first-round buzz on him. A massive run defender, McDonald would be a good fit in Buffalo, where the Bills ranked 30th against the run last season (5.1 yards allowed per carry)."
Texas A&M WR KC Concepcion: Blazing
The Bills didn't use many of their 30 visits on projected first-round picks. They did bring KC Concepcion in, signaling significant interest in the Texas A&M wide receiver. Chad Reuter of NFL.com had Buffalo going with the explosive wideout in his recent mock.
You could argue that the Bills should focus on other needs after trading away a second-round selection for D.J. Moore. But there's undeniable smoke surrounding the connection between Buffalo and Concepcion. He has the tools to develop into the true No. 1 receiver that Josh Allen has been missing.
