Every team in the NFL is always looking to be among the best, but it’s not easy whatsoever. Not only the expectations high, but the competition is harder. The Buffalo Bills are no strangers to it, though, as they have been on the elite team status since 2020. They have pretty much done anything that you can think of other than two major things; making and winning the Super Bowl.
It’s the main reason why Sean McDermott is no longer in Buffalo, and now Joe Brady will be take over as the head coach. Brady and Josh Allen have been working together since 2022, but now it will be in a new capacity.
Brady steps into his new role with one of the best quarterbacks in the game, giving him an advantage going into every game this season. However, across the field from him will be some of the best quarterbacks that the Bills will have to face. Both Brady, and defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard, are going to have their hands full this season.
Top-10 projected QBs list shows how tough Bills' schedule will be
Lou Scataglia from NFL Spin Zone put together a projection list of the Top-10 quarterbacks after the 2026 regular season ends, and Josh Allen is on the list at No. 2 only behind Joe Burrow (which is a little surprising). However, behind Allen are seven quarterbacks that the Bills will face in 2026:
Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears (Week 15)
Drake Maye, New England Patriots (Weeks 4 & 13)
Bo Nix, Denver Broncos (Week 16)
Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (Week 12)
Jared Goff, Detroit Lions (Week 2)
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens (Week 8)
Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (Week 5)
These seven quarterbacks all have a case that they could bring forward about why they not only could win the MVP award, but also bring their teams to the Super Bowl. Maye, Goff, Mahomes, and Stafford have been to a Super Bowl (Mahomes and Stafford have won it as well).
Williams showed a ton of promise last season moving forward. Nix got the Broncos to the conference championship last year but didn’t play due to an injury in the divisional round against the Bills, and Lamar Jackson is always a constant threat against opponents.
While the Bills should fear no quarterback or team, they certainly have to be prepared when they take the field to go up against some of the best quarterbacks in the league. With this new era starting under Joe Brady, fans are going to be constantly comparing this new-look Bills to what Sean McDermott had for the past nine seasons.
