The Buffalo Bills received some bad news regarding one of their players in Ed Oliver, who has a reported torn bicep and was placed on IR, per Adam Schefter. Losing Oliver hurts the Bills’ run defense a lot and with him being gone, this is where guys like Deone Walker and Larry Ogunjobi are going to have to really step up and help stop the run. Buffalo’s biggest weakness this season is stopping the run.
Going into this Week 9 battle against the Kansas City Chiefs, while the Bills will be without Oliver, the Chiefs received a major injury update about one of their players in running back Isiah Pacheco.
According to Tom Pelissero, Pacheco suffered an MCL sprain in the Chiefs’ Monday night win over the Commanders and is now considered week-to-week. It sounds like he won't be playing on Sunday, but we will wait for the official confirmation.

Isiah Pacheco injury update gives Bills' defense big-time break for Week 9
Pacheco has 329 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground this season, averaging over four yards per carry. He’s a physical runner who can make an opposing defense suffer if he gets going. The Bills’ defense definitely may have caught themselves a big break with this update.
This is Buffalo’s biggest game of the season because of the fact of who the opponent is. We all know that Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and even Xavier Worthy will make their impact somehow and someway for the offense. However, with the Chiefs being short at running back now with this injury to Pacheco, this could really help the Bills with game planning.
While Buffalo’s defense hasn’t been great at all this season, they do better in passing situations than they do against the run. With this reported injury to Pacheco, there’s a great chance that the Bills can turn their attention to Kareem Hunt and Brashard Smith, who should be the ones to carry the ball in the rushing attack.
