I believe it is safe to say that if you were to ask a majority of NFL fans, they would say that the Buffalo Bills are the favorites to once again win the AFC East for the sixth consecutive season. The only team that has come relatively close from dethroning the Bills has been the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins have tried many ways to overtake the AFC East but have failed every single season. They are more on the decline now rather than a rise for various factors. Miami has lost a good amount of talent this past offseason and they have had a little bit of drama going on with their star receiver in Tyreek Hill, who ended last season by saying something along the lines that he was done with Miami, which hurt the chemistry in the locker room.

You could argue that the Dolphins could have the worst record in the AFC East this year. Yes, even worse than the Jets. Even before the regular season, the Dolphins are looking like they are in big trouble before the games actually count.

Latest report shows Dolphins could be even less dangerous than fans thought

According to The Athletic’s Colton Pouncy, the Dolphins and the Lions had their joint practice ahead of their Week 2 preseason matchup and the Lions were the dominant team and it wasn’t even close. Here’s what Pouncy posted on X:

I get it, it’s only August and we have yet to play a second preseason game but this is hilarious to see. For the Dolphins to heavily struggle this early on is funny to see because it shows just how behind they are and how much work they still need to do prior to Week 1.

Mike McDaniel is on the hot seat because quite frankly, he hasn’t proved anything outside of the month of September. Miami has fallen apart every year down the stretch and they become less scary than what they are early on in the season. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the Dolphins move on from McDaniel and do a reset considering the fact that Miami still has yet to make any impact in the playoffs, let alone in the division.
