We are just two days away from the NFL trade deadline and fans may see a lot of movement in these next two days before Tuesday at 4PM. There have already been a handful of trades, but more should be on the way. Buffalo Bills fans are hoping that Brandon Beane will be making a move or two to improve the Bills.
The Bills have been rumored as a team who is looking to improve their team, which includes checking in on the availability of wide receivers Chris Olave from the Saints, and Jakobi Meyers of the Raiders, per NFL Insider Dianna Russini.
Buffalo for sure could use another wide receiver to help out the offense, but a recent report is also showing that the Bills have some interest in adding to their defense as well.
Bills reportedly showing some interest for Bengals LB Logan Wilson
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bills, Cowboys, and Colts have “expressed some interest” for Wilson who is on a struggling Bengals team and could be moved here soon.
Wilson recently requested a trade out of Cincinnati and according to Bengals’ head coach Zac Taylor, per Ben Baby of ESPN, rookies Demetrius Knight Jr. and Barrett Carter look to be the main focus of the middle of the defense, which of course would put Wilson in a tough spot because he is a quality starter in this league.
Buffalo’s defense has been decimated with injuries this season and they should be getting the duo of Matt Milano and Terrel Bernard back into the starting lineup today against the Chiefs. However, Shaq Thompson popped up on the injury report this week and is already ruled out for this game. Not to mention, Milano has become injury prone the last few seasons and he is in the last year of his contract with Buffalo.
Getting someone like Wilson, who still has two years remaining on his deal with the Bengals and is a proven quality player in this league would make total sense for the Bills to get a deal done.
Sure, linebacker isn’t the biggest weakness for the Bills, but Wilson would provide immediate stability and he could be a fantastic rotational player as he learns the defense with time.
