The Buffalo Bills are getting ready to take the field today against the Houston Texans and it’s the start of their five-week gauntlet of a schedule that they have. Four out of the five teams that they will play in September and early October all made the playoffs last season.
One of those teams is the Los Angeles Rams, who made the biggest splash move of the offseason by trading for edge rusher Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns. After setting the new season sack record last year, Garrett landed with a championship contender in LA to make them big time Super Bowl favorites.

Going into this past Thursday's game in Austrailia, the Rams were projected take down a banged up 49ers team but the complete opposite happened. Not only did the 49ers completely blow out the Rams, but Garrett did absolutely nothing. He didn't record a single stat which is nearly unheard of when it comes to him.
Now, we may have just found out why Garrett was not his usual self against San Francisco. According to Tom Pelissero, Garrett will have arthroscopic surgery on his knee and he will be heading to injured reserve, which puts him out for the next four games.
That means that Garrett won't be on the field for the Rams when Buffalo comes to LA.

Myles Garrett set to miss Week 5 showdown vs. Bills
Obviously, if you want to be the best, then you have to beat the best. Going into this season, the Rams looked like the best team. While they looked awful against the 49ers, one game shouldn’t define their season, especially when you have a head coach like Sean McVay.
However, losing out on Garrett during this upcoming stretch is going to make LA lose that spark that they were hoping for early on from him. Garrett himself is a game-wrecker. In addition, the Rams have guys like Byron Young, Kobie Turner, and Poona Ford. Eventually, they will have Aaron Donald back as he agreed to come out of retirement for this season.
Garrett missing the Week 5 matchup against the Bills takes immediate pressure off of Buffalo’s offense, especially their tackles in Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown. Don’t get me wrong, they have more than just Garrett (and they could very well have Donald by then), but not having his presence gives the Bills a massive break.
