After last Thursday’s disaster of a performance by the Buffalo Bills’ offense, they will now go into Pittsburgh to take on a desperate Steelers team that is looking to stay in the playoff hunt just within their own division. Much like Buffalo, Pittsburgh is also dealing with some injuries themselves that could prevent them from getting into the playoffs.

According to Gerry Dulac, the Steelers will be going into this Week 13 matchup against Buffalo without defensive tackle Derrick Harmon and left tackle Broderick Jones. Pittsburgh takes a bit of a hit on both sides of the trenches, but not having Harmon gives Buffalo’s offensive line a break.

DT Derrick Harmon will miss Week 13 vs. Bills

After giving up 8 sacks and letting Josh Alleng get hit 12 times, the Bills could use any sort of break in terms of pass protection. While the Steelers’ defense has been up-and-down this season, they still have a great defensive line that is led by Cameron Heyward and T.J. Watt.

Harmon is more of a run-stuffer, but with Buffalo having a strong rushing attack, this could certainly take some pressure off the offensive line and allow them to open the running lanes for James Cook.

While Harmon hasn’t been anything super special, he does have a high ceiling and this could really help Buffalo focus in on containing both Heyward and Watt.

With both Buffalo and Pittsburgh on the verge of being on the outside looking in for the playoffs, both teams need any advantage that they can get. The Bills have been one of the most injured teams this season going back to the summer. While they need to get healthy, they need to also stay healthy.

Getting this little break in the trenches is very beneficial for the offensive line to help Cook establish the run, as well as provide better protection for Allen than they did last week.
