Tomorrow will be the Buffalo Bills’ final regular season game, and potentially last game that they will ever play in their current stadium before moving across the street. There will be a lot of mixed emotions for fans, but the good news is that this won’t be Buffalo’s final game of the season.
They are on their way to the playoffs as a wild card team, but we won’t know who they will play until after their game. There are many different scenarios that could happen as to who Buffalo will play, but there is one opponent that the Bills should not want to play. That team is none other than the Baltimore Ravens.
However, Zachary Pereles from CBS Sports listed a potential Bills vs. Ravens wild card game as the top wild card matchup that people would want to see.
Pereles listed the Week 18 scenarios that would have to happen in order to see a Buffalo vs. Baltimore battle. These scenarios include Buffalo having to win and having both the Chargers and Texans either tying or losing. Or the Bills would have to win, the Chargers would tie or lose, the Texans winning and the Jaguars losing.
There is a lot that needs to happen so the likelihood of everything falling into place is unlikely, which should be good news for the Bills.
Ravens are a bad first matchup for Bills in playoffs
It feels like it was just yesterday seeing the Ravens destroying the Bills in Week 1 before they had an unexpected ultimate collapse in the 4th quarter. Derrick Henry ran all over the Bills, rushing for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns. Lamar Jackson and Zay Flowers were also embarrassing Buffalo’s secondary, going for 143 yards through the air and a score.
While Buffalo has beaten Baltimore twice in the playoffs the last five seasons, they don’t match up well against the Ravens at all. Heck, had it not been for a Mark Andrews dropped pass on a 2-point conversion in the playoffs last season, who knows if Buffalo would have advanced to the conference championship.
While there is not the best chance that Buffalo will travel to Baltimore in the first round of the playoffs, the Bills should still be hoping that they don’t have to take on the Ravens early on, or at all in the playoffs.
