The Buffalo Bills did what no other team has been able to do this season, and that is to beat the Kansas City Chiefs.

Josh Allen and the Bills handed the Chiefs their first loss of the season in Week 11 and it came with an exclamation point in the fourth quarter. A pair of Bills touchdowns in the final period were enough to send the Chiefs packing, and there was no bigger play in this game than the Josh Allen touchdown scamper late in the fourth.

The Bills played this one to win, from start to finish. They weren't going to let off the gas. Buffalo knew the guys on the opposing sideline were quite accustomed to accomplishing the unthinkable. The Bills have been on the losing end of some Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid magic, before, and that wasn't about to happen again.

Because of Allen's heroics late in the game, Buffalo was able to do something else that not many teams have been able to do since Mahomes entered the league.

By now, even Bills fans have to admit that Mahomes has been the best quarterback in football for most of his starting career. It's a painful realization to come to. But this year, finally, Allen has given reason to believe he's finally surpassed the Chiefs starter.

Josh Allen and the Bills did something very few teams have done to a Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs team

Back to Mahomes for a moment. How good have he and the Chiefs been?

Take a look and see for yourself.

We know it's difficult to beat the Chiefs, but it's far more difficult and unlikely to beat them by a two-score margin. That simply doesn't happen.

For the Bills to not only hand the Chiefs their first loss of the year, but in a fashion that's incredibly rare, should give this fan base reason to believe Buffalo can finally make it over the hump.

Wins like this are what can propel a team even further. But, the real question for Buffalo is whether or not they can get it done in the postseason. Mahomes is still 3-0 against the Bills in the playoffs, while Allen is now 4-1 against Mahomes in the regular season.

That 4-1 record, in the regular season, is all good and well. But, if the Bills can't figure out a way to perform like this against the Chiefs, in the postseason, then none of it matters.
