After firing Sean McDermott on Monday, the Buffalo Bills are lining up their interviews for their open head coaching job. Early on Wednesday, the Bills started requesting interviews with candidates and one candidate that was reported should have Bills fans intrigued.
According to Tom Pelissero, the Bills requested to talk with Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski who has gained some head coaching interest. Per Pelissero, Udinksi is set to interview with the Cleveland Browns for a second time this Friday.

Udinski just finished his first season as an offensive coordinator and he shined in Duval County. Prior to Jacksonville, Udinski had been with the Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Vikings. He was also with Baylor University working under Matt Rhule. Udinski has had the chance to work under Rhule, Kevin O’Connell, and now Liam Coen.
Grant Udinski is a candidate that Bills fans should keep an eye on
Udinski had the chance to help the Jaguars become one of best offensive units in the league this season. Trevor Lawrence thrived at the end of the season and finished as arguably the best quarterback going into the playoffs. Udinski had a great setup with solid weapons around Lawrence.
Under Udinski, the Jaguars averaged over 350 yards per game. They could light up the scoreboard and in 12 games, they scored 25+ points. If Udinski were to become the head coach of the Bills, he would have the chance to work with Josh Allen, who is a better quarterback than Lawrence. In addition, he would be getting the best rushing attack in football that is led by James Cook.
Udinski is one of many candidates that will get the chance to interview for the Bills, but he is a candidate that fans need to really keep an eye on. If Buffalo wants to go with offense and they want a new face in the building, Udinski could very well be the top choice. Only time will tell.
