With the NFL Combine kicking off this week, the Buffalo Bills have their opportunity to check out some of their draft targets up close and personal. But with every front office personnel member packed into Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, trade discussions can heat up, too.
One trade target Bills Mafia is actively keeping an eye out for is Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown. The veteran wideout was clearly displeased with the franchise’s direction last season, and a change of scenery for him has been a point of speculation through the early weeks of the 2026 offseason.
While Bills fans are relatively split on the idea of adding a playmaker like Brown, considering some of his diva tendencies, on Tuesday, it became clear that a trade for the star wideout could be imminent.
Eagles GM opens door for Buffalo Bills to explore A.J. Brown deal
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman was one of the first to take the podium at the NFL Combine, and naturally, Brown’s status with the franchise was brought up, where Roseman told the league that he’s listening to offers.
“We’re always listening,” Roseman said at the Combine. “I don’t think you can go into any conversation with anyone and just shoot things down without hearing what they have to say — because you never know.”
That’s a departure from his stance at the trade deadline during the 2025 regular season, where he gave an “emphatic no” to the idea of trading his top receiver. Clearly, the tone has shifted in Philadelphia, and Roseman just told every interested GM at the Combine that he’s open for business.
For Bills GM Brandon Beane, Brown is an enticing option, especially if he doesn’t cost an arm and a leg in draft compensation. A recent projection suggested the Bills could send as little as a 3rd and 5th-round picks to acquire Brown, a price that sounds much easier to pull off given Buffalo’s own circumstances. Still, ESPN’s Dan Graziano put out four potential trade packages for Brown recently, too, three of which involved a first-round pick, including his projected trade for Buffalo.
Brown, who turns 29 this summer, is the kind of instant upgrade at wide receiver Buffalo’s offense is desperate for. If the price is right, Beane’s chance to add Super Bowl-level experience to this Bills offense is right in front of him.
