The Buffalo Bills are certainly hoping to come away from the 2026 offseason with a stronger receiving corps for Josh Allen and recently promoted head coach Joe Brady to have at their disposal.

Of course, one of the biggest names on Bills Mafia’s radar is Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown, whose down season in Philly in 2025 could prove to be his last with the franchise.

Brown was traded to the Eagles for a first and third-round pick during the 2022 NFL Draft, but four years later, his trade price has naturally gone down. Considering that Brown will be 29 next season and carries the crown as a diva wideout in the NFL, Bills fans gauge their interest in what Brown would cost to trade for his services.

Eagles WR AJ Brown's projected trade price puts Bills GM Brandon Beane's receiver solution on a silver platter

According to CBS Sports’ Tyler Sullivan, Bills fans should love the projected price tag to trade for the three-time 2nd Team All-Pro receiver. He projects Brown to cost a third and fifth-round pick in a potential trade this offseason.

If all it takes is a package of mid-round picks, then general manager Brandon Beane can solve his wide receiver issues with ease. The Bills have plenty of usable pieces in the receiver room, but what they lack is a true No. 1 threat to open up the offense. Brown changes that for Buffalo in an instant.

Of course, Beane has to get the Bills’ cap space ordeal sorted first before he can make any moves. Brown himself carries a $23.4 million cap hit next season and is also due $29 million in guarantees. Even if the trade package is relatively cheap, Brown’s contract is still expensive. Nonetheless, it’s a steep price to pay for stability at the top of the receiver depth chart for the next few seasons.

Certainly, it helps that the Bills have some familiarity in handling a diva-type receiver. Stefon Diggs hasn’t been the league’s easiest receiver to please over the past decade, but Buffalo gave him a minimum of 154 targets in each of his four seasons with the team to help keep things in check. There might not be quite as many targets available for Brown as he creeps closer to 30, but there are plenty enough available to keep his stat sheet satisfied.

To that end, it’s not as though Brady doesn’t have experience working with elite receivers. His LSU offense in 2019 featured Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase. Couple in Super Bowl aspirations, and Buffalo should be an easy sell for Brown if the Eagles have multiple suitors at a similar price tag.
