NFL fans can’t wait for the schedules to come out for their favorite teams, giving fans information on when they will see their teams face off against key opponents, and bitter rivals. When the Buffalo Bills’ schedule is released, they won’t just see who Joe Brady will start his head coaching career again, but fans will also see which team will come to Orchard Park to be Buffalo’s first opponent in their new stadium.

The original Highmark Stadium is officially in the past. Having different names on the stadium, there are countless memories that will live on with Bills Mafia. However, it’s a truly new era in Western New York. New head coach, new coaching staff, and a new stadium. The emotions are going to be high come September.

With the Bills consistently being one of the top teams year-in and year-out, they are always bound to get tough opponents for the following season. It’s no stranger to them. However, with all of the changes that have happened with the Bills since January, it would be perfectly normal to understand why their 2026 schedule will be tough.

Bills set to have potentially tough 2026 season with all new changes

Lou Scataglia from NFL Spin Zone recently revealed which teams are set to have the toughest schedules going into the 2026 season, and the Bills are set to have the 8th toughest schedule with a percentage of .528.

"Buffalo always seems to be atop the AFC hierarchy in some capacity, so while their Super Bowl aspirations might again be dashed in the playoffs, there really isn't any reason to believe that the Bills won't win a ton." said Scataglia.

The Bills will obviously play the New England Patriots twice, who just won the AFC East and went to the Super Bowl. Despite their easy schedule they had last season, they are still a powerhouse whether fans want to admit it or not.

Then the Bills will take on the entire NFC North, Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans, and Los Angeles Chargers. Buffalo is going to have a tough schedule for sure. However, the Bills have taken on big challenges the last few years, so this is no different.

Again, while fans should be concerned about the strength of schedule against them going up against a new coaching staff, Buffalo is one of the best teams in the league and it’s not debatable.
