Here we are again, another chapter of the Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs rivalry. Two of the best teams with the best quarterbacks will clash this Sunday in Orchard Park. Both teams have five wins each and with this season being more wide open than we imagined, this game just got a whole bigger.
Whenever we get a Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes battle, every NFL fan should be tuning in. It’s always electric, and we have had some amazing battles between Buffalo and Kansas City in both the regular season and the playoffs. We should get a similar result on Sunday.
Allen and the Bills have had the bragging rights against the Chiefs, but only in the regular season. They haven’t lost to Kansas City in the regular season the last four seasons. Now the playoffs, that’s a different look that Bills fans don’t want to be reminded of.
Going into this matchup, it’s come to the point where even if the Bills get their fifth consecutive win against the Chiefs in the regular season, it may not mean as much to fans because what really matters is what happens in the playoffs. However, Buffalo has to do whatever they can to get the tiebreaker on the Chiefs as the postseason approaches.
Fans may have different opinions about Week 9 BUF vs. KC score prediction
Sayre Bedinger from NFL Spin Zone gave his prediction for this anticipated battle between Buffalo and Kansas City, and let’s just say that Bills fans may not like the outcome of this prediction. Bedinger has the Chiefs walking into Orchard Park and leaving with a one-point win over the Bills, 32-31. Here's a bit on what Bedinger said about this prediction:
"The Bills have struggled defensively at times this season, and they’re hoping the additions they made in free agency that finally were eligible to play this past week (Michael Hoecht, Larry Ogunjobi) can make a massive impact. Especially with Ed Oliver now out with an injury, those guys are going to need to have huge games.Sayre Bedinger, NFL Spin Zone
Patrick Mahomes has played exceptionally well over the majority of the last month, and after two years of seemingly being dragged down by his playmakers, the Chiefs have a full complement of weapons for him to spread the ball to."
Some fans might be okay with losing to the Chiefs now, and then potentially having the opportunity to take down Kansas City in the playoffs if they face each other. However, fans might also be upset if the Bills lose at home to the Chiefs and lose the tiebreaker advantage to them for the rest of the season.
At the end of the day, we can’t plan for what might happen in the playoffs because right now, both Buffalo and Kansas City are not at the top of the conference, let alone in their own division. The Bills have to bring their A-game and do whatever it takes to walk away from Week 9 with a win.
