The moves for the Buffalo Bills to get them down to the final 53-men roster has become official and there weren't a ton of surprises to be honest. While this time is tough on a lot of players around the league, it’s a necessary step to get to the start of the regular season.
By 4PM EST today, all 32 teams had to be at the 53-player limit and under the cap. The Bills had to make some moves that may not be popular amongst Bills Mafia, but it’s what Brandon Beane and his staff felt was the best.
One move that the Bills made which was the correct one was giving wide receiver Tyrell Shavers a roster spot on the final roster, which is exactly what he deserved after a strong summer and preseason. However, players like Frank Gore Jr. and K.J. Hamler didn’t make it despite having a strong summer. Here is the list of the moves the Bills made today, per their PR team:

One move that may have been expected, but is also tough to accept is Buffalo's first-round rookie Maxwell Hairston being placed on Injured Reserve (designated for return).
Bills' first round rookie Maxwell Hairston to miss first four games of season
Early on in the summer, Hairston suffered a knee injury that kept him out of the whole preseason and now he is set to miss the first four games of the season, per Adam Schefter.

The fact that Hairston will miss the first month of the season is not a good sign for two reasons. First, the Bills didn’t feel comfortable having him suited up early on in the season where he will need those reps in order to grow as a player. Secondly, now that he will miss some time, he’s going to be behind and will have to play some catch up when he is ready to come back.
With already being a rookie, it’s going to be tough for him to get adjusted to the game. Now with missing some time, it’s going to make it even harder. The good news is that Tre’Davious White was placed on the final roster and despite suffering an injury himself not too long ago, he could be on the field in Week 1 for the Bills when they host the Baltimore Ravens.
