Each year, NFL teams get graded on a variety of things within their organization. Not only were their grades, but they were publicized to the public so that fans could really see what was going on behind the scenes that they may not get to see.
The Buffalo Bills have excelled in some areas, but have also needed to improve areas. For example, in last year’s report card, the Bills received an F- for team travel. However, they earned a majority of B to B- grades. The only A that they were given had to do with their weight room.
Overall, they were ranked 23rd in the league on their report card. Even though they only had one failing grade, it really does matter overall. The good news is that they aren’t their division rival in the New York Jets, who ranked six spots lower in last year’s report card at 29th overall.
Their highest rated category was nutritionist/dietician in which they got a B+, ranking 13th in the league. Outside of that, they ranked no higher than 24th in the rest of the categories. Their worst grade came at an F with ownership, which involves their owner in Woody Johnson.
Now, according to Adam Schefter, all NFL teams were notified that an arbitrator has ordered that these report cards stop becoming public.

Ari Meirov then reported that Woody Johnson “was the one behind getting it stopped” after Johnson had “called the report cards totally bogus” per Meirov.
ESPN reported in November that #Jets owner Woody Johnson, who called the report cards “totally bogus,” was the one behind getting it stopped.

Johnson received an F grade from his players last year. And now the report cards are going to be gone. https://t.co/OhQ8KoUrVR pic.twitter.com/u3sNIlzPa6
Woody Johnson gives Bills fans yet another reason to laugh at Jets
The Jets have been one of, if not the worst franchise in the NFL for a very long time and now it just continues on. Obviously, no one wants to be embarrassed at all but for ownership of the Jets to receive a failing grade, it is very concerning.
With Meirov reporting that Johnson was the one who wanted the report cards to be gone from the public, it just creates more of a mess in the organization for the Jets, which is obviously going to cause other teams to laugh.
These report cards are designed to be a reflection on what teams need to improve on. With this report about Johnson, it just seems like the accountability is not there and there won’t be any taken either. The Jets just continue to be the Jets and be the laughing stock of the NFL with this news.
