When a team in the NFL sees the Buffalo Bills on their sceheule, there should be a lot of fear. The Bills have become a powerhouse in the NFL over the last half decade and they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon as long as they have the continuity in the front office and Josh Allen in his prime.
After a dominant 13-4 season that included averaging 30+ points per game and a run to the AFC championship game, the Bills are looking for something bigger in 2025; Winning the Super Bowl. They have a fantastic schedule (probaly their best one in years) and they only got better this offseason.
While they should be ready to go for 2025, there are six head coaches that they face this season that are very much on the hot seat, according to Bradley Locker of Pro Football Focus (PFF).
Six head coaches Bills will face in 2025 are on the hot seat
Here are the ten head coaches that Locker listed as being on the hot seat:
**=will face Bills in 2025
Head Coach | Team |
---|---|
Mike McDaniel ** | Miami Dolphins |
Shane Steichen | Indianapolis Colts |
Brian Daboll | New York Giants |
Kevin Stefanski ** | Cleveland Browns |
Zac Taylor ** | Cincinnati Bengals |
Brian Callahan | Tennessee Titans |
Jonathan Gannon | Arizona Cardinals |
Mike Tomlin ** | Pittsburgh Steelers |
Todd Bowles ** | Tampa Bay Buccaneers |
Raheem Morris ** | Atlanta Falcons |
One coach comes from within the AFC East down in Miami with Mike McDaniel. The Dolphins have no problem putting up points early on in the season when it’s nice and warm. However, once November and December come around, they disappear. They are not a threat and teams have figured out how to beat them, which takes away the speed that they loved to use at one time.
It’s not Kevin Stefanski’s fault for the dysfunction in Cleveland, but he could become the team’s scapegoat in 2025 if things go from bad to worse. Quite frankly, if Cleveland moves on from Stefanski it will just set them back even further than they already are.
Zac Taylor is stuck in the middle of Bengals players and the front office’s drama with contract extensions (i.e. Trey Hendrickson). Cincinnati has a horrendous defense and if it continues to be bad, Taylor might be seeing the exit door out of the building.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are the definition of mid in the league. They just get their winning record and get eliminated from the postseason. Time could be running out for Mike Tomlin.
I’m not sure how you can out Todd Bowles and Raheem Morris on this list. The Buccaneers are in control of the NFC South, but maybe if they can’t atleast reach a conference championship under Bowles than maybe they could seek an upgrade. As for Morris, I find extremely hard ot understand why he could be on the hot season. As a defensive-minded coach, he now gets the chance to work closely with a unit that significantly improved this offseason.
