Happy NFL Draft month, Bills Mafia! We can officially say that the draft is right around the corner and the Buffalo Bills are gearing up for a fun three-day event where they will be bringing in rookie talent to develop and hopefully gain some serious playmakers that could help bring a Super Bowl to Orchard Park and the city of Buffalo.

General manager Brandon Beane and his staff seem to always find a hidden gem each year in their draft class, if not a star. However, we also can’t ignore that Beane has had his misses. Then again, what general manager doesn’t? You can’t get better unless you take risks and Beane is not afraid of making risks.

With Buffalo being all the way on the backend of the first round at No. 30, they will be waiting to see how the draft board plays out. We have seen Beane trade up and trade down in the first round so Bills fans should consider everything on the table. However, if the perfect prospect falls into their lap at the 30th overall pick, the the Bills should immediately turn in the card.

Bills get major defensive help in dream NFL mock draft

Sayre Bedinger from NFL Spin Zone dropped a recent four-round mock draft and Bedinger couldn’t have listed the more perfect prospect for the Bills at No. 30. With Buffalo’s first rounder, Bedinger has the Bills selecting Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant.

"Therefore, getting as much help on the defensive front would be the best course of action for this team. Kenneth Grant is over 330 pounds but moves like he’s 250. He’s a tremendous athlete, strong at the point of attack, and will be an asset for any team immediately in terms of his run defense."

Buffalo’s achilles heel last season was their run-defense. They allowed various runnings backs to run all over them and it ultimately hurt them in the playoffs as well. Getting a guy like Grant to learn from Ed Oliver and DaQuan Jones is a great setup for future success. Not to mention, it immediately solidifies the defensive line, who will be short-handed with six-game suspensions coming up for both Larry Ogunjobi and Michael Hoecht.

Even though there is more of a pressing need for a true CB2 opposite of Christian Benford, it would be very hard to pass up on a talent like Grant. The Bills would have a great chance at winning the line of scrimmage on defense for years to come with someone like Grant on their side.
