The Buffalo Bills were heavily battle tested against the Los Angeles Rams and it was not a pretty game whatsoever to start. In the first half, the Bills never forced LA to punt, yet LA blocked a punt against Buffalo and returned it for a touchdown. The Bills found themselves down early on in the second quarter 17-7 but Josh Allen did respond with a touchdown pass to running back Ty Johnson, who took it 41 yards for the score.

After a great response to the blocked punt, the Bills’ defense was beaten down by the Rams’ offense, whose star was Puka Nacua. Nacua helped the Rams move the chains on every drive. He finished the game with 12 catches for 162 yards and one touchdown. In addition, the Bills’ defense could not stop the Rams’ rushing attack that had over 100 yards on the ground. The Rams led 31-14 at one point.

While the Bills’ offense had their bad moments, they brought the Bills back up from the hole that they dug themselves into and made it into a game in the second half. Josh Allen continued to show why he deserves to win the MVP award, but the comeback was too great for them to overcome.

Buffalo Bills’ defense gets completely embarrassed against LA Rams

Buffalo's defense gave up over 400 total yards and they only forced the Rams to punt once. This is by far their worst game of the year, and that includes their performance against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4.

There’s no other way to say it other than this loss was on the defense. With a team putting up 35 points, no blame can be put on the offense. Sure, could have they converted better at various times? Absolutely. At the same time, when you have a quarterback that played like the MVP of the league and you still lose, there is no one to blame other than the defense.

This loss for the Bills comes at the best time for them. While you never want to see your team lose, they needed to be humbled just a little bit before they go into the playoffs. Not to mention, this loss comes against an out-of-conference opponent who is fighting for their respective division. However, for the Bills defense to put on a performance like this is ridiculous.

If the Bills thought the Rams were tough, they are in for a bigger monster next week when they travel to take on the red hot Detroit Lions who are playing as the best team in the NFL.
