Bills coach pinned as potential offensive coordinator in 2026 (but not for Buffalo)

This past week, the Las Vegas Raiders made the obvious choice to move on from offensive coordinator Chip Kelly. The Raiders have been an absolute mess on offense to the point where it looks like picking Ashton Jeanty in the top ten may have been a miss. However, we know that Jeanty is very talented.

In addition, Geno Smith is playing like the worst quarterback despite having Pete Carroll as his head coach. When Smith and Carroll were in Seattle together, Smith was able to solidify himself as a quality starter. It hasn’t looked like it this season with this duo in Vegas.

The Raiders will now be looking for his replacement for next year, and it would not be a shocker to anyone for them to bring in someone who has had success somewhere else. Could their next offensive coordinator currently be in the Bills’ building?

Current Bills coach listed as potential Raiders offensive coordinator in 2026

Brad Berreman from Just Blog Baby recently put together a list of candidates that could be good fits for this Raiders offense to help players like Jeanty and Brock Bowers reach the next level. One of those coaches that was listed was Ronald Curry, who is the current QB coach for the Bills and has been since last season.

"Curry is in his second year on the Bills' staff. However, there is a chance that big changes are made after the season in Buffalo, especially if offensive coordinator Joe Brady lands a head coaching gig, so Curry will likely find himself looking for a job as well."

Curry played in the NFL as a wide receiver for seven seasons, all with the Raiders. He was drafted in the 7th round out of North Carolina in 2002, so a potential reunion between Curry and the Raiders isn’t exactly a bad thought.

Not to mention, Curry has been around Josh Allen since last season and has had the chance to see what it takes for an offense to be good, as well as overcome adversity. If Curry were to land in Vegas as their new offensive coordinator, he would have great playmakers in Jeanty and Bowers, but he would need to really help Geno Smith improve from his performance this season or potentially see what other options could be out there.
