The end of the 2025 season came to an end when the Seattle Seahawks delivered a 29-13 beatdown to the New England Patriots, where it looked like at one point the Seahawks were going to shut the Pats out. However, New England managed to get on the board but it was too late for them to do anything. Bills fans got the pleasure of watching the Pats fall apart on the biggest stage.

One of the biggest reasons why the Seahawks were able to control the game was because of the great performance by their running back, Kenneth Walker. Having 27 carries for 135 yards, Walker was able to help control the Pats’ defense and they couldn’t get Seattle off the field at times.

Walker did have a rushing touchdown in the 4th quarter, but it was called back due to a hold on their center. However, he still shined and he was named the Super Bowl MVP.

Walker has set himself up for a nice payday from a team, considering that he is set to hit free agency next month. While the Bills don’t need Walker, they also should be hoping that none of their rivals sign him.

Moe Moton from Bleacher Report recently listed the Kansas City Chiefs as a potential landing spot for the Super Bowl MVP, and it makes sense considering that Kansas City needs to upgrade their rushing attack. However, the Bills don’t need to have the headache of not only planning for Patrick Mahomes, but also Walker.

"With quarterback Patrick Mahomes coming off a torn ACL and his early-season availability for 2026 uncertain, Kansas City could swing big for Walker as part of a plan to rely more on its run game than in recent seasons." said Moton.

Kansas City is still Buffalo’s biggest challenge in the conference, considering the fact that they are the team that has constantly knocked the Bills out of the playoffs. While the Bills can’t control what the Chiefs do with their offseason moves, Buffalo better hope that Walker doesn’t land with them.

Walker is a physical runner who is a great downhill runner. The Bills have a huge issue at stopping the run, as this past season showed that. Until Jim Leonhard can fix Buffalo’s run-defense, the Bills must hope that the Chiefs don’t make a splash with landing Walker who should be getting a nice payday in free agency from someone.
