One of the biggest expected moves that the Buffalo Bills were more than likely going to make was releasing edge rusher Von Miller. When Buffalo made the huge splash of signing Miller in 2022, it should have been the move that put the Bills over the top to help them capture their first Super Bowl. What looked like a six-year deal worth $120 million deal, only turned out to be a three-year deal between Miller and the Bills.

The Bills didn’t wait too long to find his replacement though, as they signed Joey Bosa to a one-year deal to still have a veteran presence off the edge. While the Bills moved on from Miller, the future Hall of Fame player still remains unsigned. We still don’t know if he will be playing in 2025, but he hasn’t announced any plans to step away from the game.

Miller could choose a couple of paths to go for this season. First, he could obviously step away from the game because he has accomplished so much in his career and his on his way to Canton. He could maybe go back to the team where he built up his career, the Denver Broncos who are a rising team from last season. Or, he could join another team that either offers him the best deal or the best chance to win a Super Bowl.

Mason Cameron from Pro Football Focus (PFF) created a list of one last move that NFC teams should make and Miller is linked to a team that will play the Bills in Buffalo this coming season.

PFF suggests Von Miller as a fit for Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Buffalo will host Tampa Bay in 2025 and the Buccaneers still need to add more edge rushers. If Miller is stll looking to play, Tampa Bay may actually be a perfect fit.

"Von Miller could be a name to target as a pass-rush specialist. Across his three seasons in Buffalo, Miller posted a pair of 80.0-plus PFF pass-rushing grades while totaling 102 pressures and 14 sacks."
Mason Cameron, PFF

The Buccaneers have taken control of the NFC South so they are a team that is in the conversation for making a run at the Super Bowl, but they have tough competition within the conference. However, Miller gets to continue his career and the Bucs get themselves another edge rusher to pair with Haason Reddick.

If the Bucs were to make the move to bring Miller to Tampa Bay, that would mean that Miller will take on the Bills in Orchard Park. There are mixed feelings about Miller’s time in Buffalo and a bunch of “What Ifs”, which includes what if Miller never tore his ACL in his first season with the Bills.
