The Buffalo Bills are one of the teams in the NFL that has an empty trophy case as they have yet to win their first Super Bowl. Since the 2020 season, you could argue that they would have one if Patrick Mahomes wasn’t in the NFL.

The fact that the Bills, led by Josh Allen, haven’t been to a Super Bowl yet in the Allen era is shocking. However, it’s all because of Mahomes and the Chiefs (and Joe Burrow one year).

Last season, the Bills exceeded expectations after having a rough offseason. They won the AFC East for the fifth straight season and made it to the AFC championship game. Now with most of their key players coming back and new pieces that were added, there should be no reason why the Bills aren’t the last team standing.

Bills face huge pressure to win first franchise Super Bowl

Brad Gagnon from Bleacher Report recently ranked the chances for each non-having Super Bowl team to win their first Super Bowl in 2025.

The teams included the Bills, Bengals, Lions, Chargers, Texans, Jaguars, Cardinals, Vikings, Falcons, Panthers, Titans, and Browns. Out of all these teams, the Bills were ranked as the No. 1 overall team with a 20% chance of winning their first Super Bowl. The next closest team was the Bengals at 8%.

"Nobody has better Super Bowl odds than the Buffalo Bills, who have taken the AFC East crown with at least 11 wins in five consecutive seasons and fell just short of making the Super Bowl last year.
Is this the year when they finally break through? Or does this team just not have it when it comes to crunch time in January? It helps that the Chiefs have become fallible recently and Baltimore has been even more of a disappointment in recent postseasons. "

Head coach Sean McDermott has faced a lot of criticism for his coaching decisions in big games. You can argue that he is facing a little bit of a hot seat if the Bills fall short once again. The Bills have a very easy schedule and most of their tough opponents are coming to Orchard Park. It’s now or never for the Bills this coming season.
