Let’s face it, one thing that has been pretty much guaranteed every season for the Buffalo Bills is defeating the Miami Dolphins. Every year since 2018, the Bills have always taken down the Dolphins atleast once, if not sweeping them.
Since drafting Josh Allen, the Bills have only lost the Dolphins twice. They have won 13 of the last 15 matchups (including one playoff game) and have made fools out of the Dolphins year-in and year-out. Now, to credit Miami, they sure have tried to do what they can to take the AFC East away from the Bills.
They brought in Mike McDaniel from San Francisco to work with Tua Tagovailoa and have tried to create an offense that McDaniel learned from Kyle Shanahan. In addition, the Dolphins have also brought in Jaylen Waddle through the 2021 NFL Draft and would then eventually trade for star wide receiver Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022.
Trading for Hill made the Miami offense a threat without a threat, but the Dolphins still haven’t won a playoff game with his arrival. In Hill’s three seasons with Miami, so far, the Dolphins have been knocked out of the first round of the playoffs by the Bills and Chiefs, and then missed the playoffs this past season.
With Miami missing the playoffs, Hill made early offseason headlines but making it clear that he needed to do what was best for him and his family, implying that he was not happy about not being in the playoffs.
Since then, Hill has taken responsibility for that statement and has expressed that he wants to be in Miami. However, the Dolphins may want to strongly consider moving on from Hill and Moe Moton from Bleacher Report has a domino effect trade proposal involving Hill that would send him out of the AFC East. Moton believers that if the Dolphins trade away Hill to the Washington Commanders, it would compeltely change the landscape of the offseason.
Bills should be hoping Dolphins send Tyreek Hill out of Miami
If the Dolphins were to make a move like this, it would heavily limit Tua Tagovailoa with what he can do in McDaniel’s offense. Hill opens up the field for the Dolphins’ offense and takes pressure off of Tua in the pocket.
However, with Hill’s comments after Week 18 and Miami still not having success whatsoever outside of September, Miami should really consider making the bold move to move on from Hill. Not only would it weaken the Dolphins, but it would greatly help the Bills when they are game planning for the Dolphins in 2025.
