There are still a good amount of current Buffalo Bills free agents that remain unsigned, despite free agency starting in March. It’s very surprising considering that the Bills have been one of the top teams in the NFL, so you would think that any free agents coming from Buffalo would be picked up somewhere sooner than later.

Defensive end Joey Bosa is one of those players, despite having a solid season for the Bills which included him leading the league with 5 forced fumbles. He basically signed a one-year prove-it deal with the Bills last offseason, with there being concerns about his ability to stay healthy. However, he only missed one game.

It appears that the Bills have decided to move on from Bosa, as they have gone out and signed players like Bradley Chubb and Mike Danna, while also drafting T.J. Parker. If that is indeed the case, Bosa will be playing for another team. Who that is still remains a mystery.

Joey Bosa pinned as a potential fit for Bills' primetime opponent

Alex Kay from Bleacher Report wrote about five roster moves “that need to be made amid OTAs” and one of those moves was the Chicago Bears signing Bosa.

"Bosa managed to stay healthy for a second consecutive season, tallying 29 tackles, five sacks and a league-high five forced fumbles last year. Pro Football Focus credited the pass-rusher with 47 total pressures, 30 hurries, 12 QB hits and two batted passes." said Kay.

"Although he's in the final act of his decorated career, Bosa proved he could still handle being a key piece on a contending defense. Bosa was on the field for 64 percent of Buffalo's defensive snaps—his highest share since 2021—and can assume a similar role within Chicago's edge rotation during an upcoming age 31 campaign." said Kay.

The Bills will host the Bears for a Saturday night battle in Week 15, and it could very well turn into a high-scoring matchup between two of the best offenses in the league. Both teams’ defensive units have had issues with building a consistent pass rush. While Bosa provided more stability last season in Buffalo, he disappeared down the stretch and into the playoffs.

At the same time, Bosa definitely did earn himself another good-size contract with another team. If the Bears were to sign him, Buffalo would be welcoming Bosa back to Western New York in late December where that matchup could be a deciding factor on playoff seeding.
