B/R gives an obvious Week 7 takeaway for Buffalo Bills win over Titans

The Buffalo Bills are coming off a slow, yet impressive win over the Tennessee Titans where they scored 34 unanswered points after being down 10-0 early on. The Bills improved to 5-2 and now have a commanding lead in the AFC East. On another plus side, the rest of the AFC East lost their respective games so the Bills really did have a great week.

Josh Allen had a rough start in the first half, but turned it around quickly in the second half by completing 64% of his passes for 323 yards and 2 touchdowns. He looked like an MVP-like player once again, something that fans started doubting just two weeks ago in Week 5.

Heading into Week 8 where they will have to travel to Seattle, the Bills have a tough challenge on their hands due to the Seahawks playing great physical football this year under new head coach Mike Macdonald. However, with the way that Buffalo improved their offensive outing against Tennessee (who was the better defensive unit heading into Week 7), it will be the Seahawks’ defense that will have the challenge.

One of the biggest reasons why the Bills’ offense took a turn for the better in Week 7 was from the trade acquisition of Amari Cooper earlier on in the week. Buffalo brought in Cooper to provide Allen with a true number one receiver and it paid off against the Titans.

Despite him being with the Bills for less than a week on game day, Cooper made an impact in front of Bills Mafia with 4 catches for 66 yards and a touchdown that put the Bills ahead of the Titans. For Cooper to make an immediate impact just shows us why the Bills went and traded for him less than 24 hours after their Week 6 win.

Amari Cooper’s presence puts Buffalo Bills back in championship conversation

The Bleacher Report NFL Staff at Bleacher Report created a list of the top takeaways for each team based on what happened in Week 7, and Cooper was the obvious highlight of Buffalo’s listed takeaway. It was noted that the trade for Cooper will “yield big dividends” for Buffalo.

"Cooper is the sort of No. 1 receiver who can command defensive attention, and his arrival has already been felt. It'll be fun to see how much more he can boost the offense once he's fully acclimated, and fans should expect more positive results."

Remember when the Bills were being doubted before the start of the season? Or even in their two-game stretch in Weeks 4 & 5, Buffalo was being counted out. Now, they have a receiver in Cooper that massively improves their receiving core and are sitting at 5-2. The trade for Cooper puts the Bills back in the championship conversation.
