The New Orleans Saints might be 0-3, but the team is not completely hopeless. The Saints still have solid players, and if the Buffalo Bills take the Saints lightly, they could be in for an unnecessarily close game. Here are four Saints the Bills need to worry about and take seriously ahead of their Week 4 showdown.
4 Saints players Bills fans need to keep a close eye on in Week 4
1. Alvin Kamara
One of the few holdovers from the Sean Payton era in New Orleans, Kamara has not been a Pro Bowler since 2021. That doesn't mean he's not dangerous. Last season, he scored eight touchdowns and went for 1,493 yards from scrimmage, both totals his highest since 2021.
This year, Kamara has 186 yards on the ground and 47 yards through the air. While those numbers aren't as strong as years past, Kamara is still dangerous if he gets going.
2. Chris Olave
Olave is back after being limited to just eight games in 2024. In three games, he's been targeted 37 times and has caught 23 passes for 165 yards. While he has not found the endzone, he's created 10 first downs, the most of any New Orleans receiver.
Olave proved himself as one of the NFL's top young receivers in 2022-23, when he posted back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons to begin his career.
3. Juwan Johnson
Juwan Johnson is off to the best start to a season of his career. The 29-year-old tight end is averaging 58.7 yards per game, blowing his previous career best of 32.2 yards-per-game (2024) out of the water. He's also caught a touchdown pass and delivered ten first down conversions for New Orleans. The Saints' tight end has been a favorite target of young QB Spencer Rattler.
4. Carl Granderson
Granderson, the Saints' 29-year-old edge rusher, is off to a hot start on the season. He has 3.5 sacks through the teams first 3 games, putting him on pace for over 20 sacks this season. He also has four QB hits and 4 tackles for loss. If he keeps up this pace, he'll set career highs in all three of those categories. With Chase Young injured and Cam Jordan getting old, Granderson is the leader of the New Orleans pass-rush.
