AFC is shaping up to be too good to be true for the Buffalo Bills in 2025

This is almost worrisome...

The Buffalo Bills are 2-0 and clearly the best team in the AFC, but it's honestly shaping up to be too good to be true. Through two games, the Bills have taken care of business - they mounted an insane second-half comeback against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 and blew out the New York Jets in Week 2.

Now, Buffalo has a short week and faces the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football in Week 3. It's a foregone conclusion that Buffalo wins this game and moves to 3-0 on the season. Slowly but surely, as the 2025 NFL Season progresses, the Bills are angling toward earning a top-3 seed in the AFC.

But not only that, the AFC is honestly going in their favor, and it's getting slightly ridiculous.

The AFC is almost unbelievably wide-open for the Buffalo Bills in 2025

The first thing to note here is that the Bills now have the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Baltimore Ravens, so if both teams win their division, all Buffalo would have to do is finish with the same record, and they'd get the higher seed. This tiebreaker is massive for playoff seeding.

Secondly, Cincinnati Bengals' QB Joe Burrow is going to miss most of the season with a turf toe injury, so that figures to take the Bengals out of the mix to be a threat in the playoffs or even get there entirely.

And thirdly, their biggest threat, the Kansas City Chiefs, are all of a sudden 0-2 and just do not feel like being close to the top-tier team that they've been for years now. The Chiefs don't really have any way to beat opponents on offense consistently, and the defense hasn't been anything special.

When you pull back the curtains like this with the top-dogs in the AFC, things could not be going more in the Bills' favor right now, and you have to wonder what could possibly get in the team's way this year.
