If you're hoping to read about how great the Buffalo Bills are, we can get to that but first, we're going to dunk on Aaron Rodgers a bit more. By now you know that things aren't going well for Rodgers with his new team, the New York Jets.
Rodgers and the Jets are 3-9 and this is viewed as a huge disappointment considering they were Super Bowl favorites entering the season. The Jets' poor performance can't even be blamed on the lack of a healthy Rodgers because he's been healthy (well, healthy-ish) and it hasn't made a difference. Rodgers has been bad and so has the rest of the team. Hilarious, right?
More Bills news:
Well, buckle up Bills fans, because it's about to get even funnier if that's possible.
During his Wednesday press conference, Rodgers made sure to discuss how he wants to remain with the Jets and wants to feel wanted by them. "I just redid my house here in Jersey. My goal was to play a few more years here. I'd like to play well and feel like I'm wanted back. If not, I will not be offended, I won't be upset."
Bills fans can't stop laughing at Aaron Rodgers
Rodgers continues to talk about how he wants to remain with the Jets in 2025 and beyond but it's clear as day that the Jets aren't interested in bringing him back, and why would they want to? Rodgers has not been good this year and he's playing exactly how you'd think a 40-year-old coming off Achilles surgery would play.
All of this is comic gold for Bills fans who have gotten a front row seat to the entire Aaron Rodgers/Jets saga. When the Jets traded for him, everyone seemed to think that they were finally going to be a Super Bowl contender or at the very least make the playoffs. While an injury prevented that from happening in Year 1, it's gone even worse for them in Year 2. Pure hilarity.
Rodgers wants to feel wanted by the Jets and for the first time in ages, the Jets will be making the smart move in kicking him to the curb when the season is over. It'd have been more fun if they stuck it out with him for another few years but hey, it's the Jets. Whatever quarterback they do land will likely continue to struggle because, again, it's the Jets.
Bills fans love it, especially after everyone assumed Buffalo was no longer a threat and that it was now the Jets' time to shine. Yeah, that hasn't aged well, has it?
