5 pending free agents Bills can only dream of ahead of free agency

The Buffalo Bills are bargain bin shoppers for the remainder of Free Agency, but they can certainly do some window shopping. These free agents would make a huge impact on the Bills, if they could afford it.

The Buffalo Bills are ready for free agency, but there's not much in the account to go spending. In a free agent class loaded with market-setting players, the Bills are likely heading to the discount bin. Still, one can browse to their hearts content, and these 2026 free agents would be huge impact players for the Bills.

Free agents Bills may only be able to dream of rather than actually sign

DE Trey Hendrickson

A pipedream, perhaps, but that's the point of this list. Trey Hendrickson is the sort of player that would elevate the Buffalo Bills' pass rush into a game-changing unit. The soon-to-be former Cincinnati Bengal is coming off a down year with a hip/pelvis injury, but had two consecutive seasons of 17.5 sacks apiece prior to getting hurt.

The Bengals didn't use a tag on Hendrickson this time, letting the productive defensive end become one of the most coveted players on the market. His value sits at roughly $25m per season - It's a well-earned figure.

OG Mekhi Becton

In retaining C Connor McGovern, the Buffalo Bills lose their left guard to the market. If they had to money, replacing David Edwards would be as simple as signing Mekhi Becton.

The former Jet, Eagle, and Charger now hits the market at becomes a premium free agent. Capable of playing either side of the line, this guard would be the best possible choice to fill the Bills only remaining offensive hole. At $13.5m per season, he's out of reach.

LB Devin Lloyd

With a plausible defensive switch to a 3-4 formation under new defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard, there will be changes to the Buffalo Bills' scheme. With those changes comes a natural switch of personnel. A second inside linebacker would make for a comfortable defense; Devin Lloyd would be a perfect fit alongside Terrel Bernard.

Lloyd has racked up 9 interceptions and 436 tackles in his four-year career, with splash plays galore. His 26 passes defensed speak for themselves at the linebacker spot. If the Bills could cough up $20m per season to pay for it, they surely would.

WR Alec Pierce

Most didn't expect Alec Pierce to make it to free agency, believing he would have had an extension with the Indianapolis Colts before the new league year, but that is not the case. Instead, he becomes one of the league's most coveted wide receivers. The market is not deep, and he represents the cream of the crop alongside Jauan Jennings and Romeo Doubs.

The Bills need a field stretcher to even out their receiving core, and Alec Pierce's 21.3 yards per catch this season speaks for itself. Believe it or not, he averaged 22.3 last year. He's undoubtedly the most useful offensive player out there for Buffalo. At well over $20m per season, he'll have to be useful for someone else.

S Coby Bryant

Coming off a Super Bowl win, most players look to cash in. The Seattle Seahawks safety Coby Bryant is no different. The Bills need some elite safety play alongside Cole Bishop, and Bryant is the natural choice. With four picks and 66 tackles in the regular season, and elite play throughout the playoffs, there are no better options than him. His $14.3m projected annual cost makes it clear there's also no more expensive option.
