The Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions, and so now it’s time for teams like the Buffalo Bills to see which players they can poach from the championship team this offseason.
The Seahawks aren’t strapped too tightly against the salary cap as the offseason begins, but they did extend left tackle Charles Cross and will need to pay big bucks to some notable players, Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker III surely standing atop that list. Certainly, Seattle can’t sign everybody back with quarterback Sam Darnold’s contract only getting more expensive and other contracts like Cross’s beginning to factor in.
When free agency begins next month, these are the Super Bowl champion Seahawks Bills Mafia will have an extra eye on, should they become available.
Free agents from Seattle’s title team the Bills should consider
WR Rashid Shaheed
At the top of the wishlist is no doubt wide receiver Rashid Shaheed. Shaheed caught just two passes for 27 yards in the Super Bowl, but among his five targets were a few deep shots that showed off his sprinters’ speed.
Shaheed also brings kick return juice, though that’s not as pressing a need for Buffalo with All-Pro returner Ray Davis on the roster.
Still, Shaheed was a mid-season acquisition that helped open up Seattle’s offense even more once he settled in with his new NFL home. He only caught 15 passes for Seattle in the regular season, and just three more in the postseason. But he stretches defenses with his speed, giving them one extra wrinkle in the offense to worry about.
It goes without saying, but a serious deep threat like Shaheed would be a massive get for the Bills' offense with Josh Allen’s rocket arm in the pocket. Of course, Shaheed isn’t the No. 1 receiver option the Bills truly need, but if they can sort that issue out elsewhere, Shaheed would be a fantastic complement in the passing game.
LB Drake Thomas
The Bills’ defense will undergo some significant change this offseason with new defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard bringing in the 3-4 defense. With Matt Milano and Shaq Thompson both set to becom free agents ahead of their age-32 seasons, the Bills will need to look at some potential replacement options at linebacker.
If Drake Thomas becomes available, there might not be a better bargain-bin linebacker in the NFL. Thomas is set to be a restricted free agent, so the Bills would have to out-bid Seattle for his services and eat a draft pick if they win that auction. Seattle will no-doubt be willing to match to a high figure to keep other teams away, especially after the breakout season he enjoyed.
Injuries brought Thomas to the field in 2025, but his play kept him in the defensive rotation. He grabbed 96 total tackles on the season, 10 for a loss, with 3.5 sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery. He added another 18 tackles, one for loss, in the postseason.

Thomas is a former undrafted free agent pick up by Seattle who has emerged after three seasons with the franchise. It’s not likely he leaves the Pacific Northwest, but that shouldn’t shake the Bills’ interest in acquiring the intriguing upstart backer.
WR Jake Bobo
Another wide receiver who doesn’t ultimately solve Buffalo’s issues, but does bring the extra elements Buffalo cares about, Jake Bobo is a fan favorite in Seattle for doing the team’s dirty work on special teams and as a blocker. He’ll come up with a circus catch in the clutch every once in a while, too. But his real value is as a locker-room presence with a work ethic other players can model themselves after.
Like Thomas, Bobo is set to be a restricted free agent, and Seattle won’t be keen on losing him. Still, if Buffalo puts in a bid they feel comfortable with, Bobo would be an excellent addition to the receiving corps to provide depth and continue to further Buffalo’s persistence in having elite perimeter blocking from their wideouts.
EDGE Boye Mafe
While the first three players listed here might not be the most realistic targets to actually acquire, beyond slim odds, Boye Mafe is the unheralded pass rusher Brandon Beane should give an extra look at this offseason.
Mafe was mixed into the trade deadline rumors for Seattle, but the Seahawks kept him in the rotation as the quiet gear that helped the front four sustain itself as one of the league’s most dominant units.
On the surface, it appears Mafe had a down season in 2026, his fourth with Seattle since being selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He had just two sacks and four quarterback hits in the regular season, and only added one quarterback hit in the postseason. However, he was actually one of Seattle’s most efficient pass rushers despite the statistics.
He, as well as every other Seattle pass rusher, had at least five pressures on Drake Maye in the Super Bowl. Further, Mafe was second on his team in quarterback hurries with 12, and his 17 pressures were in line with many of his teammates off the edge in Seattle.
Mafe might not be the ultimate fix for the Bills’ pass-rushing transition, but he would match in with Leonhard’s scheme in the ways that it is similar to Mike MacDonald’s in Seattle. And as long as that means more pressure on opposing quarterbacks, the fact that he’ll come much cheaper than some of the top potential options on the edge should be at least enticing to Bills Mafia.
