The Buffalo Bills have certainly been active this offseason. They've changed head coaches, pulled off a major trade for a receiver, and quietly pulled off a draft masterclass. But how much better really is this roster than it was at the beginning of 2025?
It might still take a few more pieces to push Buffalo over the top. With lingering needs at a few positions, the job isn't done yet for Brandon Beane.
We've cooked up a few mildly reckless mock trades to help get him started.
3 Bills trades to kick Super Bowl run into the next gear
DJ Moore is an obvious upgrade over what the Bills had at wide receiver last season. That doesn't mean that the Bills are set at the position. They're still relying on players like Mecole Hardman Jr. and Keon Coleman (more on him later) to play significant roles. If there are still quality receivers there for the taking, Buffalo should at least consider making a move.
Current Carolina Panthers wideout Jalen Coker would be a good option. The 24-year-old has been unable to establish a consistent role in Carolina, and he may fall down the pecking order if rookie Chris Brazzell makes an early impact. This one might be a long shot, but it's worth making the call.
As far as trades for wide receivers go, this one might be a bit more realistic. Cedric Tillman seems to be on the outs for the Cleveland Browns after they spent two of their first three draft picks on receivers. He's shown encouraging flashes when he's been on the field and could be worth taking a chance on for the Bills.
Meanwhile, the Browns lack solid running back depth behind Quinshon Judkins. A package including a late-round pick swap and Ray Davis might be enough to get a deal done.
Who's ready to swap disappointing draft selections? Coleman has been unable to find any sort of consistency in Buffalo, and the team's comments earlier this offseason seem to indicate that he's available if any teams are interested.
Similarly, Deonte Banks has failed to live up to his pre-draft hype for the New York Giants. He has fallen out of the starting lineup this offseason after the team added Greg Newsome II. The Bills could use another capable player in their cornerback rotation, and they might be able to get Banks for a low price.
